   Providing Leadership in relation to Network Maintenance in the Region- Implement preventative maintenance for existing power network in the Region-Operate the power network in an efficient and in an optimized state- Monitor emergency breakdowns and ensuring timely restoration of power within the set customer service standards and other related guidelines- Approve the maintenance plans for the network for the Counties within the Region-Carry out system studies for Network improvement in the Region and analysis of major breakdowns and propose long term solutions-Approve Shutdowns affecting sensitive and major customers in the Region-Approval of system reinforcements and Loss Reduction Projects in the Region-Ensure efficient utilization of the Labor & Transport contractors allocated to the Region-Ensure that all Network staff in the Region comply with the Electrical and Mechanical Safety Rules and Codes of Procedure and practices in their operations and maintenance of the network-Ensure timely availability of resources, materials and equipment necessary for system operation and Maintenance of the Distribution Network-Provide Linkages with other Departments and Divisions within the Region for the operations and maintenance of the Network-Approve related network operation expenditures and associated staff payments as per established policies and procedures-Ensure effective utilization of assigned resources including proper time management-Ensure effective utilization and sharing of resources assigned to Region for Common functions like Underground, Live Line and Street Lighting.
