Electrical Operation Controller (EOC) and QC Looking after AUCKLAND and North region of Auckland Distribution network, New Zealand. Including 33/22/11KV Overhead and Underground Network Using POA ADMS by GE. Monitoring and quick acting for abnormal network scenarios, by recording issues, setting priorities and coordinating with resources to ensure follow up is undertaken and network is returned to normal. Isolation, restoration and switching as per the requirement during emergency or planned outages. Plan switching activities on the electricity networks to facilitate safe access to the networks, in consideration of customer requirements, business requirements, operational constraints and operational standards. Preparing fault events and network fault logs and updating the ICP depending on fault isolation and restoration to maintain SAIDI. Preparing emergency switching, Permits and assurances.Contingencies planning and periodic reviewing for Substations allocated. Checking the fault report after completion in data base and approving/rejecting the switching depending on constraints and loading. Maintaining Network constraints information and ensure necessary rectification is carried out in a timely manner to minimize disruption to customers and ensure longevity of the network by keeping follow up with FSP’s. Coordinate and manage planned and unplanned switching activities to facilitate safe access to electricity networks, for transmission, sub-transmission, distribution and low voltage network. Re-checking, reviewing, and recoding the HV Events after the work completion. Works in Shifts, and emergency duties as required. Ensuring Timely delivery of all completed jobs which require GIS / SCADA / ADMS updates to EOP / SCADA team Involved in ADMS training and application. Training and guiding new EOC to become competent. Ready for support to other controllers in event of major events like storm.
