About Emmanuel Thompson
Currently serving as a Sr. UX/UI Designer at Parata Systems, a BD Company, I\'m a part of a small yet impactful UX team in creating engaging experiences for interacting with pharmacy robots, machines, and packaging equipment. My role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting research, designing workflows, prototyping, and implementing design sprints to continually enhance user experiences. Prior to my current role, I served as a Senior User Experience Designer at SAS Institute, where I played a key role in defining the interaction, look, and feel of numerous products used by industry giants. During my tenure, I led multiple projects concurrently, primarily in Banking Risk Management, and worked closely with product managers and software development teams to ensure design standards and user-centric principles were upheld. My commitment to user-centered design extends beyond the workplace. As the Founder and Executive Director of Swey Community, a nonprofit organization, I established a community center and organized educational programs to inspire youth in rural communities to explore design and entrepreneurship. Additionally, my experience at Allscripts, where I developed a mobile home care app for the iPad, and at the Smithsonian Institution, where I redesigned a website for the Smithsonian African American Association, has further enriched my expertise in creating impactful user experiences. I am driven by a passion for making a tangible difference in the lives of users and am constantly seeking new ways to innovate and enhance user experiences. My journey in design has been marked by a deep commitment to excellence and a relentless pursuit of creating meaningful and impactful solutions.
