The Koldam Hydroelectric Project is situated on the Sutlej River, in the Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh. Total installed capacity of 800 megawatts (MW).It features a concrete gravity dam that impounds the waters of the River, creating a reservoir that extends over a vast area. It utilizes the flow of the River to generate electricity.Area of Responsibilities: Control & Instrumentation Maintenance Engineer, Operation Engineer-> C&I Maintenance Engineer-The reliability of Instruments installed at various location by conducting regular Maintenance jobs, maintaining the stock of tools, tackles, spares etc.Preparation and execution of Contracts required for the site activities.Coordination with the various departments, external agencies, OEMs, regulatory bodies.Implementation of crucial systems as per the operational requirements->Operation Engineer-To ensure the timely Synchronization and Shutdown of Units as per the dispatched schedule.Water release protocol is strictly followed along with the intimation to the concerned authorities.Compliance on issued permits with proper isolations/normalization with safety.Decision on declaration of energy to the grid considering the water inflow and reservoir level.Routine changeover/checking of equipment as per the schedule.Preparation and reporting of the daily progress reports.Execution in events like Annual Overhaling, Black Start, PFR testing etc.
