ABOUT EMMANUEL J.
I’m a cybersecurity professional with experience across research, consulting, teaching, and applied security testing. My work combines academic rigour with practical expertise, encompassing research publications and presentations on cybersecurity threat communication and mobile device security, as well as penetration testing, red team engagements, and incident response services for organizations in finance, healthcare, and technology.I hold a PhD in Information Systems with a research focus on Cybersecurity. Currently, I work as a Senior Cybersecurity Researcher/Consultant, where I perform threat modelling, web application testing, security assessments, and remediation planning. I also lecture on cybersecurity attacks and defences, advanced computer security, and security research at the university level.Technically, I’ve worked with tools such as Cobalt Strike, BloodHound, Burp Suite, and Metasploit, and applied frameworks like MITRE ATT & CK and NIST 800-115 to guide engagements and strengthen defences. My involvement with Hack The Box keeps my offensive security skills sharp. At the same time, my consulting and teaching roles ensure I can clearly communicate complex security findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.My career goal is to bridge the gap between research and practice—helping organizations defend against evolving threats while contributing to the advancement of cybersecurity knowledge.
