9/02/15 - present: Duke Medicine Center for Applied Genomics and Precision Medicine (CAGPM) Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC)• Participate in clinical research studies conducted by principal • Investigators at CAGPM, Duke University Medical Center: Perform a variety of duties involved in the collection, compilation, documentation and analysis of clinical research data.Maintaining case report forms (CRFs), Charts and documentation. Collect and document payment forms, file study memos in line with approved protocols.• Assist Investigators in screening study participants eligibility for enrollment.• Perform patient informed consent, explain study goals with eligible patients, family members or legally authorize representatives (LAR).• Collect data from patient EMR charts, interviews, questionnaires, evaluate and interpret collected data and prepare appropriate documentation; obtain blood samples, cultures, tissues, sputum and other specimens for laboratory processes and analysis. Stock and document lab stocks and supplies, record keeping in line with study funds allocation.• Ensuring that all clinical activities are carried out in accordance with established protocol and standards in compliance with all applicable (Federal, State and international laws, regulations, policies, and procedural IRB requirements. Ensure SOP’s are understood and followed regarding collected samples processing, storage specifications as well as site transfer.• Read journals, abstracts and scientific literature to keep abreast of new developments and to obtain information regarding previous studies to aid in the planning of new studies• Attend clinical research forums as well as relevant study courses and trainings.
