Emmanuel Chailleux obtained a PhD in from the \"Ecole Centrale de Lyon (France)\" in polymer science field. Since 2004 he has been in permanent position at Université Gustave Eiffel (former Ifsttar) in the pavement department. His current instigations deal with bituminous binder performances, including rheological properties, viscoelastic modelling, ageing and cracking phenomena. He also conducts researches to develop and characterise alternative binder from biomass. He is the chairman of the RILEM technical committee PIM (Phase and Interphase behaviour of bituminous Materials). He is the authors of 43 research papers.\"
