About Emma Muir
My name is Emma Muir and I am current Hospital and Molecular Epidemiology MPH student at the University of Michigan, with a Microbiology BS from the same school. I have interests in the intersection of microbiology and epidemiology, with a focus on infectious disease epidemiology, clinical microbiology, and clinical infection control. I am currently a research associate in the Snitkin Lab through the Michigan Medicine Department of Microbiology & Immunology, studying antibiotic resistance mutations in Klebsiella pneumoniae. I hope to gain clinical infection control experience to build upon my research background to better understand how pathogens spread through healthcare settings
