ABOUT EMMA GRIFFITHS
I am a Policy Advisor at Make UK, contributing to industry-facing policy analysis on UK manufacturing. I am also a Research Assistant at the Centre for Geopolitics, University of Cambridge, and an Associated Researcher with the Economic Security Intelligence Lab (ESIL, RCAST), University of Tokyo, where I examine the relationship between citizenship regimes, demographic change, and long-term economic security.My work sits at the intersection of economic security, industrial strategy, and geopolitics, with a particular focus on the UK and Japan. I am interested in how governments use economic, technological, and regulatory instruments to build strategic capacity, and in the convergence of industrial policy, national security, and technological governance.I hold a BA (Hons) in Social Anthropology from the University of Cambridge.
