I am a Second-Degree nursing student at Rutgers University–New Brunswick pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing, building upon my Bachelor of Science in Health Administration. My academic background, combined with my current role as a Medical Assistant in a pediatric urgent care setting, has shaped a strong clinical foundation and a deep commitment to pediatric care.Working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment has strengthened my assessment skills, clinical judgment, and ability to remain calm under pressure. These experiences have solidified my goal of beginning my nursing career in a Pediatric ICU or Pediatric Emergency Department, where critical thinking, technical precision, and compassionate, family-centered care intersect.I am especially drawn to pediatric critical care because it requires both emotional intelligence and clinical excellence during some of the most vulnerable moments in a child’s life. I bring a strong work ethic, systems-level understanding of healthcare, and a genuine dedication to patient safety and team collaboration. I am eager to contribute to a pediatric critical care team as a new graduate nurse while continuing to grow into a confident, skilled, and resilient registered nurse and healthcare provider.Professionally, I am driven by the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of clients, patients, and colleagues. I am eager to contribute to healthcare settings where compassion, collaboration, and innovation come together to improve outcomes and experiences. In my future, I have an interest in pursuing a higher level nursing degree in a direct provider role as either a CRNA or an Acute Care NP.In my personal life, I enjoy spending quality time with family and being outdoors. Walking, hiking, and participating in outdoor social activities bring me joy. Recently, I’ve embraced the hobbies of reading and journaling.
