About Emma Redmond

Currently a Systems Engineer 1 for General Dynamics Electric Boat, recently a Cum Laude graduate from Rowan University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering with focuses in Electrical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering. I am actively looking to specialize in systems and controls or project management. At Electric Boat, I work on site as an engineer solving any construction issues that may occur, no matter how big or small. I also do my part to keep tabs on outstanding liabilities for the construction schedule and work closely with trades to help ensure first-time quality. I spent my college career working with ANSYS Workbench and Fluent, SolidWorks Flow Sim, and writing code in MATLAB, Arduino, and Python. I worked on the design, analysis, and fabrication of many projects, a few highlights being- 2-dimensional PID system that was a plate that could balance a ball on any location on the plate based on potentiometer inputs- A pneumatic intestinal model out of silicon using locational tracking to guide air pressure to move an object down a silicon tube- A model rocket that was launched feet in the air and recovered completely intact at the 2024 Space Port America Cup
