About Emma Enriquez
Welcome to my profile! I straddle the vibrant worlds of Manhattan retail, technology, and art. I believe that our current economy requires constant learning and a creative approach to problem solving. My professional life started in law in Los Angeles. For over 20 years, I litigated over 600 cases in the areas of employment/labor law, intellectual property, business torts, and estates. Clients included Walmart and the County of Los Angeles. After the courts closed during the pandemic, I taught English while traveling through Mexico and Central America. I also completed a full-stack bootcamp to learn the fundamentals of coding in addition to taking UX classes. I then moved to New York City to reconnect with art. For two years, I painted nonstop - inspired by Mexican muralism, European Expressionism, and sci-fi. I participated in 14 joint and solo shows including the Every Woman Biennial in East Village, New York (March, 2024). I was an altar artist at the 2023 Dia de Los Muertos festival at Hollywood Forever in Los Angeles, California. I also designed casual apparel concepts based on my art. In July, 2024, I was selected as a founder participant with the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce Retail Storefront Accelerator program. I am currently learning about this vibrant industry and how art, tech, and UX can be leveraged to create elevated consumer experiences.
