ABOUT EMMA DREW

Emma is a regional representative of KPMG’s national compliance network. As part of this, Emma spent 5 months in India during 2013 working closely with KPMG\'s off-shore process experts, providing training and developing and implementing process improvements. Most recently, Emma has been heavily involved in developing and communicating the South Region’s approach to corporate tax compliance. Day to day, Emma manages the corporate tax compliance process for international groups and smaller owner managed businesses. In addition she also has experience in dealing with tax consultancy including international tax (e.g. diverted profits tax), restructuring and tax accounting. This involves liaising with her specialist and international colleagues where appropriate.Emma is a specialist in tax accounting where she is part of the ‘Audit and Accounting Related Tax Advisory Services’ team in the Reading office. This involves working on tax audits, preparing tax provisions and researching specific tax accounting issues, for example GAAP transition.Emma has previously worked in audit for three months, where she undertook SOX reviews and statutory audits, working in a variety of teams, large and small. In addition to this, Emma has also spent 2 months working in industry where she was responsible for the corporate tax returns and US GAAP reporting of a multinational group.Emma concurrently leads and manages multiple teams, frequently located across multiple locations and jurisdictions.Emma is also one of the founding members of the KPMG Network of Women (KNOW) South. KNOW is one of the Diversity and Inclusion networks with the aim of supporting women to achieve their potential in all areas of KPMG.
