About Emma Duncan

Given my major and minors, it\'s clear to see that I\'m a writer at heart. While my time in Blacksburg will only last three years, I\'ve loved my college experience! Outside of the classroom, I can be found leading ministry, babysitting, adventuring and volunteering in Southwest Virginia. I\'m comfortable with public speaking and have effectively held numerous leadership roles.After graduating in May 2026, I hope to obtain a master’s in strategic communication. While writing is my first love, I\'ve found my true passion in teaching and mentorship. I value building strong relationships with peers, coworkers and mentees, and have an outgoing spirit that keeps those around me thinking positively. My career goal is to utilize storytelling to amplify the voices of those who are often unheard and help students find a sense of belonging and direction. I value the importance of relationships in academic and professional spaces. I bring a bubbly attitude to the workplace and encourage those around me to stay positive and motivated.
