About Emma Carrel

I recently graduated from Iowa State University with a B.S. in Apparel, Merchandising, and Design and a minor in Entrepreneurship. I completed a design and business internship through Preservation, a slow fashion boutique located in Des Moines, Iowa. During my internship I designed and created a one of a kind clothing line. I was also able to learn more about small-businesses and sustainability in fashion. At Iowa State, I’ve been involved in various on-campus organizations. I worked at Innovate 1858 — a student run small business — from my sophomore to senior year in the marketing department, while completing my final year as the Marketing Director, which oversees the Social Media, Graphic Design, and Public Relations teams. I was involved in The Fashion Show, a student-run organization, as a Photography Director and a student designer. I also was involved in the student produced magazine, Trend Magazine, as a styling director and committee member.
