About Emma Carlsgaard
I bring a wide and varied skill set that reflects my background in tech and the arts. I have a natural predisposition to be observant and resourceful which my artistic training has built upon and expanded. My ten years working various roles in the start-up software industry has taught me skills and lessons that come with building a business from the ground up. Both experiences have shown me how to be a supportive team member, as well as accountable when working on my own. Now I’d like to apply everything I’ve learned to pursue a career in mechanical design and engineering as a drafts-person or designer. I\'m currently in the middle of an associates degree for CAD specializing in mechanical design at Austin Community College. I have already gained experience working in AutoCad, Inventor and Solidworks. I\'m looking for work that would help me build these skills.
