I lead Heriot Brown’s community for in-house lawyers by building spaces, events and initiatives that help them feel more connected, more visible, and more in control of their careers.My goal? To make sure no in-house lawyer feels stuck, isolated or unsure where to turn next.Here’s what that looks like in practice: Community BuildingI run a 900-strong, sponsor-free WhatsApp network of in-house lawyers across multiple specialist channels - from Legal Ops to Sole GC, ESG to Parent’s Club. Each space is Chatham House, career-focused, and full of support from peers who genuinely want to help each other. Creative Events & NetworkingI design events that go beyond panels - from our annual GC Burns Night (raising £76k for charity) to yoga led by lawyers, coffee mornings, and team takeovers for the London Legal Walk. I also host meetups around external events by setting up pop-up channels so community members can connect before walking into the room. Personal Brand & Visibility CoachingAlongside Scott Brown, I co-created the Executive Counsel Accelerator Course. A practical approach to online/offline visibility, executive presence, confidence, and connection. I love to coach in-house lawyers on how to show up authentically and strategically in their careers. Listening & ConnectingEverything starts with the community. I listen to what in-house lawyers actually need. Then either create it or connect them to someone who can. That might mean a bespoke intro, a new group channel, a speaker session, or sometimes just a quick, helpful chat.🤝 No Sponsors. No Sales Pitches. Ever.We don’t allow vendors in our community.
