About Emmabella Rudd

Emmabella Rudd is a type 1 diabetes advocate. She has her Master\'s of Science in Health and the Public Interest from Georgetown University and her Bachelor’s of Science in Public Health from Florida State University. Since the age of eleven, Rudd has been advocating to Congress, urging them to support diabetes legislation for research, medical supply access, and insulin price regulation. Her work has also encompassed working on passing an insulin copay cap in Florida, expanding access to diabetes supplies under Medicare, advocating for Health and Human Service Executive Order reform, and advocating for patent reform within the United States Patent Trademark Office. Emmabella believes that the liberty of choice and access to medication is connected to liberation for all-as she believes health is a human right. Tackling U.S. healthcare in its access and affordability issues is a passion of Rudd\'s. Emmabella currently works as a health policy Associate, where she works in the CMS space. Rudd served the Biden-Harris Administration as a Policy Intern for Vice President Harris in the fall of 2022. She also did a TEDx Talk in 2022,\"Diabetes Isn\'t A Death Sentence, If You Can Afford It.\" Rudd has raised over for diabetes research. Rudd has been featured for her advocacy on insulin affordability on USA Today, CNBC, Feminist, and Le Monde.
