ABOUT EMMA WEINBREN
Experienced writer and editor with special interests in food, travel and international affairs I’ve had a varied journalism career, working on everything from breaking online news to long magazine features, and writing about topics spanning NHS funding, ecommerce and food shortages. Most recently, I took on the role of managing editor at The Grocer in 2020. My job involves working across all areas of the publication, from signing off news to planning out features and managing our special projects. Highlights include-Working with our special products feature to deliver our biggest ever Top Products Survey, which was picked up for national coverage in publications including The Times -Interviewing pro footballer and entrepreneur Hal Robson Kanu on his nutrition business The Turmeric Co -Running the features desk alongside my managing editor duties during Covid. We ran a number of popular in-depth pieces including a deep dive on the HGV driver crisis My work has won a PPA New Talent award and was shortlisted for the Paul Foot Investigative Journalism awards. I speak French, German and Spanish
