Completing a one-year rotational program designed to provide broad exposure across SPS’s engineering organization. I’ve completed two 6-month rotations on acquired product teams, each with its own unique tech stack, challenges, and focus areas.Rotation 1 – Microsoft Marketplace Automation / DataMasons EDI- Joined the team maintaining a legacy EDI product acquired from DataMasons, where I focused on building a comprehensive automated testing suite using Playwright, helping improve quality and reduce regression risks for a system without a prior standard testing process- Contributed to modernizing workflows and improving overall confidence in ongoing product changes- Improved the front-end user interface of the product to enhance usability and modernize the user experienceRotation 2 – Category Management Analytics / 1Screen- Worked on 1Screen, a product that delivers actionable retail insights to customers looking to optimize their business strategy- Took on a wide range of development tasks across the full stack, including work in C#, SQL, JavaScript, and Angular, adapting quickly to support both backend data flows and front-end visualizations- Partnered with product managers and analysts to bring features to life in a fast-paced environment- Collaborated with an international, Canada-based team, gaining experience navigating cross-time-zone communication and diverse team dynamicsThese two rotations have helped me grow into a more well-rounded engineer, sharpen my problem-solving and communication skills, and further deepen my interest in front-end development and user experience.
