I am based in Derby and eager to grow our Derby community as well as supporting all over England and WalesWe support and advise in:• EHCPs and IDPs• Meetings and Mediations• Appeals and Tribunals • Training for Professionals and Parents• Pre-Action Protocol letters• DLA and PIP • Social Care Support • School Attendance My role within the Sunshine team is with all inbounding enquiries from both professionals and parents, supporting you to understand what we do and how we can help. I am passionate, understanding and welcoming, with my own lived experienced as both a previous early years SENCO and a parent of a SEND child.Here is some recent feedback from one of our parents:\"I first went to the sunshine support cuppa and chat group when I felt like no one was listening to me at school when my daughter first started needed more adjustments in her mainstream school. I put off going for a while because to be honest, I dreaded walking in to a group of people who I didn’t know and who probably knew each other. I walked in, saw a group of parents together and I went straight to the back to be met by Emma who runs it. She’s so friendly and easy to chat to and she’s heard it all. I started telling her about what was going on at school and she gave me helpful leaflets, explained processes and listened. I don’t think I spoke to another parent that first day but I left feeling lighter and I returned two weeks later more confident.
