ABOUT EMMA STEWART-NAVA
Hello! My name is Emma and I am a senior at the University of Arizona. I am majoring in neuroscience/cognitive Sciences and psychological sciences, with minors in spanish and biochemistry. I am looking to pursue and MD/PhD track after I finish my undergraduate. I am interested in the neural circuits and physiology of the brain underlying various mental illnesses such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, as well as exploring new preventative treatments for neurodegenerative disorders. I am currently involved in a research lab through the University of Arizona department in Neuroscience under Dr. Haijiang Cai. The lab I assist in is studying the neural circuitry of eating and emotion with applied models of eating disorders.
