At Risk Managed we help keep caregivers injury free when assisting people with disabilities get out of bed in the morning, have a shower and get into their wheelchair. Health professionals are considered experts on the team in preventing injury free however we have found they face 3 problems:1. They lack confidence and worry their interventions will cause an injury2. They get overwhelmed by the vast amount of equipment solutions and can inadvertently recommend unsuitable equipment3. They can struggle to support the people in the process resulting in cases taking twice as long We have designed the Hoisted Programme that shows our clients:1. A process for identifying a manual handling risk and what to do about how2. To prescribe, use and justify equipment in less time and with less stress3. To support the people in the manual handling process so your intervention builds teamsOur Hoisted programme provides health professionals with a systematic way of solving manual handling problems in less time, with less stress and with better quality outcomes for their clients.We have two ways in which we work with our clients:1. We come to you to deliver between 1 and 5 days of workshops. If you want to apply for a grant, we help you secure it-We run regular workshops in Australia and worldwide.
