About Emma Rodriguez
After completing an undergraduate degree in English Literature and Print Journalism from New York University, I now work as a full-time personal injury and workers\' compensation paralegal. My day-to-day involves many client conversations, legal drafting, document submission and requesting necessary documentation from medical providers, insurance companies and other firms. I also provide any necessary technical support, Spanish translation services and case filing needed by my peers and attorneys. This work has set me on what I hope is a long, fruitful journey working in law, and gearing me up with the tools I will need as a law student and attorney. In addition to my full-time work, I work private events for Morgenstern\'s Finest Ice Cream, a small local business in the heart of Manhattan. Odd jobs are one of the many things that keep my weeks interesting. Whether it be a storefront \"pop-up\" or a toddler\'s birthday party, every event deepens my understanding of what it means to truly provide excellent customer service and learn how to speak and engage with clients to meet their expectations and establish a connection. To continue advocating and supporting my immigrant community, I volunteer with the Safe Passage Project as a Spanish interpreter and with Hands Off NYC and the Undocumented Women\'s Fund helping with mutual aid setups and event organizing. At the moment I am also currently completing law school applications for the Fall 2026 admissions cycle. My goal is to attend a university that will provide me with the skills to work in public interest and defend the rights of all our community members, especially those most vulnerable to injustices within the legal system.
