ABOUT EMMA RICCI
I am a passionate advocate for sustainable development, social equity, and gender empowerment, now bringing my commitment to action as an Intern at Base3, where I collaborate on the creation and development of European projects. A recent graduate in Global Governance with a specialization in Science and Technology from the University of Rome Tor Vergata, I value interdisciplinary approaches to addressing global challenges. My semester at Korea University, studying Renewable Energy Technologies, Econometrics, and Global Health, enriched my understanding of innovative solutions in diverse contexts. Previously, I volunteered with the World Food Forum at FAO Headquarters, enhancing my skills in event coordination, media outreach, and content creation. Additionally, my hands-on conservation work with Wildlife Sense in Greece and participation in sustainability-focused projects like Ekipa-Challenge and Erasmus+ OBCD have strengthened my ability to drive impactful initiatives. I am currently working to publish my thesis,\"Women Empowerment as a Driver of Sustainable Innovation: A Case Study Analysis in SMEs,\" which I presented at ICODECON 2024 in Greece. Guided by my values of inclusion, empowerment, and sustainability, I aim to contribute to community-centered projects that drive meaningful and lasting change.
