ABOUT EMMA RANSLEY

I worked within the travel and leisure sector for over 15 years, ranging from tour operations to the hotel industry. I was the first ever internal candidate to get accepted onto the Saga Holidays Management Trainee Scheme and spent 2 years working in various departments to get a broad overview of the industry, finally ending up as Entertainments Manager responsible for contracting entertainment within resort hotels. Following Saga I entered the world of hotel sales and have worked in both reactive and pro active sales roles, the latter of which I believe is my forte. In 2012 I decided I needed a new challenge and moved into the sector of multi media sales, enabling me to use my previous skills and knowledge within the sales industry whilst giving me the opportunity to turn my hand to a different industry. Within the space of just under 4 years I went from a Marketing Team Media Sales Executive, to an Account Manager with the Key Accounts Team to managing the What\'s On and Kent Business portfolios. As the b2b market is a huge passion of mine I grabbed the opportunity to head up the membership side at Kent Invicta Chamber before moving into facilities management to enable me to gain a new set of skills.
