ABOUT EMMA POON
I spent 7 years in the Air Force controlling nuclear weapons and as an instructor and curriculum developer training the next generation of Intercontinental Ballistic Missile operators. Upon leaving the Air Force in search of new challenges, I worked for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) doing Continuity Test, Training, and Exercises. My job was to make sure that DHS personnel understood Continuity and their role in it through training and exercises. I am currently working for the Federal Emergency Management Agency.(FEMA) in National Continuity Programs. I was the Branch Chief of the FEMA Branch in the Continuity Implementation Division and the Chief of the Regional and Stakeholders Branch in the Policy, Plans, and Evaluation Division (PPED). I am now the Policy and Plans Chief in PPED. Previously, I worked for Regional Integration Branch, providing outreach and support to Continuity of Operations programs in FEMA Regions I, and X.
