I joined the Healthy Exercise & Lifestyle ProgramS, a medically directed chronic disease prevention program, initially as a research intern to help run their exercise interventions. When I found out that the years of their data was unanalyzed, I started an independent project under the guidance of Dr. Jeffrey Katula which focused on modernizing their data set. Through this project I learned how to appropriately use patient data, make data sets, code on python, and interact with research participants.
