CRD is an independent record label and classical publisher whose raison d’être is to bring high-quality recordings of little-known classical music, as well as new interpretations of better known repertoire, to those with a passion for classical music.At CRD I co-manage the existing catalogue and forthcoming releases of classical recordings by top artists and ensembles. This role includes B2B and B2C engagement and product management. It also includes planning and leading marketing campaigns, including producing audio/video content to promote recordings.

As a Director of CRD Records—the world’s oldest family-owned classical label—and a practitioner in learning science, my work is driven by a single mission: to empower artists and learners to navigate a complex,\"post-truth\" digital landscape with critical agency and creative excellence. Classical ReDefined: 50 Years of Independent ExcellenceIn 2020, I stepped into the leadership of CRD Records alongside my brother, Tom Pauncefort. Off the back of our 2025 golden anniversary celebrations, we have transitioned the label into a forward-thinking critical creative partner. Education, Learning Science & Critical LiteracyMy approach to the music industry is deeply informed by my background as an academic researcher and educator. With a PhD in Early Modern Travel and Identity Formation, I apply the rigours of historical and literary criticism to modern challenges in technology and education.Learning Science: I am a practitioner focused on how we acquire and apply knowledge in a digital-first world. My work centers on the \'Become a Smarter Learner\' podcast and the \'Build Your Creative Practice\' initiative—a \"creatorpreneur\" program co-delivered with Gamu Matarira under Smart Learning Technologies.Published Research: I explore the intersection of media and trust. My recent work, ‘Critical Literacy is at the Heart of an Answer’ (Emerald, 2020), examines how we maintain intellectual integrity in an era of datafication and mass surveillance. Advocacy & PerformanceAs a former Cambridge Choral Scholar, I remain a passionate advocate for choral music and \"hidden voices.\" Whether it is unearthing overlooked female composers or integrating underscored spoken word into Lieder, I believe classical music must be immersive, accessible, and intellectually arresting.
