About Emma Obrien
Emma O’Brien is a senior at Rutgers University pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in both Communications and Human Resource Management.Upon serving as the Social Media and Marketing Fellow for the TIIP at Rutgers University–New Brunswick, Emma was able to design accessible and engaging marketing materials using Canva to connect with the Rutgers community. In this role, Emma managed TIIP’s media site, main website, and LinkedIn page, ensuring brand consistency and audience engagement across all platforms.Previously, Emma interned with Emlabdon Events, where she strengthened her skills in content creation, social media strategy, and public relations. Her responsibilities included creating and uploading social media content, writing press releases, supporting event setup, and engaging with online audiences to increase brand visibility and attract potential clients.Alongside, she has 4 years of experience in the service industry, waitressing and hosting for Villaggio Iccara, in Yardville, NJ. Here, she takes on the role of “senior server” in which she must oversee managerial duties, training new hires, and accommodating any customer concerns. Alongside, she managed the TikTok account for Villaggio Iccara from February 2024 - January 2025, which encouraged her passion for social media & PR. At Rutgers University, Emma is a member of The Communication Honors Society, and Women\'s Club Lacrosse.
