ABOUT EMMA HUTCHINSON
I am an associate in the Infrastructure, Construction and Energy Disputes Group that forms part of our global Energy, Projects and Construction practice. Within the global practice, our 60+ strong ICE Disputes Group advises clients on dispute avoidance and resolution across the infrastructure, construction and energy sectors and specialises in high-value, technically complex matters often across multiple jurisdictions in all forms of dispute avoidance and resolution including expert determination, adjudication, mediation, international arbitration and litigation. Spread across our UK offices and with teams in the UAE and Singapore, we advise a range of clients that includes contractors, consultants, developers and energy and power companies. The team also offers a ‘Project Advisory and Risk Management’ service, which includes advice on how to avoid disputes at every stage of the lifecycle for major ICE projects. Services include: analysis of documentation and procedures; risk analyses and management strategies; delivery of teach-in workshops to project delivery and commercial teams; and regular project surgeries and risk review workshops. The team also actively supports FIDIC conferences across the UK, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and South America.
