ABOUT EMMA HAMILTON COLE
I am a full time family law practitioner with over 27 years\' experience in all areas of family law including children matters, divorce, separation and financial matters. I am an accredited family mediator and find this approach to resolving disputes to be extremely helpful for families, allowing a creative approach as well as fostering communications. I am accredited to provide MIAMs which are information sessions about mediation required before commencing proceedings and designed to ensure that all the available options to resolve disputes are considered. I am also qualified to consult with children in mediation processes to ensure their views are heard.I also work as a collaborative lawyer and actively promote this practice as a constructive way to resolve family disputes by working in a cooperative way with other professionals including other lawyers, but also financial experts and family coaches. The approach offers families a rounded and private way to resolve issuesI have recently qualified to offer couples advice under the Resolution Together model - enabling couples who wish to have advice from one lawyer to do so, to save time and costs where the situation is appropriate.I believe in a professional and proactive approach to matters, and resolution of disputes in the least acrimonious way to the benefit of my clients and their familiesSpecialties: I deal with all aspects of divorce and separation, children law and cohabitation.
