ABOUT EMMA GARTENSTEIN
Emma Gartenstein is a New York born, Los Angeles–based artist manager known for her sharp instincts, unrelenting drive, and deep-rooted passion for artist development. At Activist Artists Management, she plays a key role across major artist campaigns, award strategies, and cultural moments that define the modern music landscape. Emma is a core member of the Dead & Company team, having worked on all 48 shows of the groundbreaking Dead Forever - Live at Sphere residency. Her experience also spans milestone events such as the 2025 MusiCares Persons of the Year honoring the Grateful Dead, the 2024 Kennedy Center Honors, and the 67th Annual GRAMMY Awards. At Activist, Emma helps lead media strategy across the company’s high-profile roster. She played an essential role in press coordination for Dwight Yoakam’s Cosmic Roundup & Rodeo Tour and 2024 album Brighter Days, including his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! She also aided in spearheading media efforts around The Lumineers’ latest release, Automatic, overseeing Global interviews and features. Working closely with Activist partner Liz Norris, Emma helps oversee the company’s awards department, executing successful campaigns across the GRAMMYs, EMMYs, Academy of Country Music Awards, and Americana Music Awards. Emma began her career in the Publicity department at Interscope Records, contributing to campaigns for Olivia Rodrigo, Dean Lewis, and Inhaler. She’s also independently managed emerging talent, securing major label distribution deals and guiding artists from early-stage development to national visibility.
