WORK HISTORY
Director @Seacourt Print Workshop Limited
Seacourt Print Workshop is a creative hub in Bangor, North Down. We provide a unique space for engaging in creativity whatever your training or life circumstances operating an open access printmaking studio. Printmaking is a democratic and accessible art form. It is a technique that breaks down the barrier to creativity and in this form of art making there is also a little magic and wonder – the held breath as the print comes off the press and ‘ah’ moment of the first glimpse of what someone has made. We’ve been providing access to creativity and vital resources to artists since 1981. In 2023 we completed the purchase of our building, a grade B1 listed former bank building and we launched 9 artist studio spaces. In 2024 we’re renovating and relaunching a tailor made space. We are grateful for support from the Community Ownership Fund, Foyle Foundation, Blueprint (A & BNI), Esme Mitchell Trust, Arts Council of NI, social finance via Community Finance Ireland and support from our wonderful donors.
