I can help you, your family, colleagues, clients or contacts if you or they need advice or representation in relation to children issues, including- Child arrangements disputes – for example when should your child/children spend time with you or their other parent and cases involving parental alienation- Domestic (within England and Wales) and international (to another country/jurisdiction) relocation - I can advise on the steps to take to support an application to court or defend an application- Abduction overseas – I have advised and represented clients in cases where children have been abducted/threats have been made to abduct children to both Hague and non-Hague Convention countries, including to Australia, Russia, Israel, China and across Europe- Domestic abuse – I have dealt with cases where domestic violence and safeguarding concerns are a feature, successfully obtaining non-molestation orders to protect against future abuse and occupation orders to remove an abusive person from the family home, as well as prohibited steps orders to protect a child from being removed and keep them safe. I regularly defend against such applications where a parent has been subject to false allegations- Surrogacy, adoption and other atypical family scenarios – This is a growing but complex area of law where it is vital parents or parents to be obtain specialist legal advice as early as possible. I am able to advise at all stages of the process- Local Authority involvement and navigating issues such as mental health, domestic violence and substance misuse. I also advise and represent clients on all aspects of divorce and dissolution, associated financial settlement and cohabitation disputes. I am committed to adopting an amicable and non-confrontational approach for my clients. I am recognised as being empathetic and pro-active meaning I am effective in handling the sensitive issues involved in family cases and obtaining the best possible results. I have sat on the JCI board as Charity Director, organising events and fundraising activities in support of Anxiety UK and Invisible Tours.
