About Emma Day
Howdy! I am a senior nursing student at Texas A&M University College of Nursing, graduating in August 2025 with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I\'m currently seeking a new graduate residency program that will help me grow as a nurse, strengthen my clinical skills, and prepare me to provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality care. My time here at Texas A&M has been truly transformative, leaving me with integral skills and values that I will carry with me into my professional practice. Mission Statement My mission as a nurse is to serve with compassion, integrity, and advocacy. I want every patient to feel safe, seen, and valued in my care. In the short term, I am focused on completing my nursing education, passing the NCLEX, and gaining clinical experience in a supportive environment. Long term, I hope to specialize in women’s health, neonatal care, or pediatrics, areas where I can walk alongside patients and families during some of life’s most vulnerable and transformative moments. No matter where my path leads, I am committed to showing up with integrity, respect, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of those I serve. Nursing Philosophy I believe nursing is a calling to advocate, comfort, and care for each person with compassion and respect. Every patient deserves to be treated as a whole person, mind, body, and spirit, not just a diagnosis. I am especially passionate about caring for women, newborns, and children, knowing these moments call for both skilled hands and a compassionate heart. My practice is guided by integrity, empathy, collaboration, and inclusion. Career Goals & Objectives My goal as a nurse is to provide compassionate, patient-centered care while continuing to grow both professionally and personally. I\'m currently completing my BSN and will soon take the NCLEX to become a licensed RN. I hope to begin my career in a nurse residency program where I can build confidence, strengthen my clinical judgement, and grow in my skills. I’ve developed a strong passion for women’s health, neonatal, and pediatric care, especially the NICU, and hope to specialize in one of these areas. Long term, I aspire to take on leadership roles, mentor others, and continue learning so I can always give my best to my patients and my team.
