About Emma Davisson
At the University of South Carolina I have had the opportunity to expand into areas I wouldn\'t have considered before college. I declared a major in biological sciences before adding a dual degree in economics my sophomore year. This has given me insight into the science and business world, and I have loved being able to experience both. Switching from organic chemistry to macroeconomics in the same day can be confusing but I\'ve been grateful for the challenge. In my free time I write for The Daily Gamecock and serve as Director of the Legislative Action Network for USC student government. Both these experiences have improved my organizational skills and shown me the importance of working with others. Outside of school I am a page in the South Carolina House of Representatives, where I now work as Head Page for the House Ways and Means Committee. My freshman year I made the decision to go to law school and plan on pursuing a lobbying or policy career. My time at the Statehouse has given me insight into the many different functions of government and I\'ve thoroughly enjoyed it. I\'ve learned how to better communicate with a variety of people and would love to extend these skills to different jobs. I am always open to chances to continue learning. Best, Emma Davisson
