   Zinnia is located next door to the Harvard location of Tatte Bakery and Cafe, a place where I had quickly become a regular while working at Zinnia. I became friends with many of the employees and met some of their management team, and learned there were plans for some of the staff currently working at that location to open the newest iteration of Tatte in the South End. Harvard\'s general manager was to become the general manager of the South End location. I had grown to respect her very much as both a leader and a person, and endeavored to ask if they had any room for another team member. She brought me onto the South End team as a barista. I completed the fast-paced, specialized training required, and worked many busy shifts creating quality product alongside my fellow baristas. I then requested training for additional front of house positions, and now predominantly work on the counter. This entails register work, in-depth knowledge of the Tatte products and presentation standards, and excellent customer service skills. This job has allowed me to draw upon all of my previous work experience and I greatly look forward to continuing to learn new skills and applying them towards future goals with this company. Tatte South End is located in a new residential complex in the South End and as such is frequented by many young professionals and their families, as well as workers in the area who are helping build up what is fast becoming an exciting, happening, and promising new area of Boston. As I have been employed at this location since its opening, I have been charged with and embraced the responsibility of setting the tone and standards for it. We constantly receive compliments on our service and personable nature from happy customers. I truly enjoy interacting with both the now regular customers and all the new clientele the South End brings our way and am excited to see what is to come with this brand new endeavor.
