About Emma Casey

I recently graduated from Williams College as an English and Theater major. During my time at Williams, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in campus life. I was a member of the Women’s Swim & Dive Team, the Rape and Sexual Assault Network, the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, Freshmen Council, the Residential Life Team, the Latinx student athlete group, and Cap & Bells. In my senior year, I was honored to be named a CSCAA Scholar All-American through my participation with the NCAA. I am currently living and working in DC as a public policy fellow for a strategic consulting firm and as a part time dive coach. I am currently studying for the LSAT with the hopes of entering law school in the fall of 2024. In the future, I hope to use my multifaceted education and job experiences to find efficient and creative solutions within the legal field.

   Congresswoman McDonald Rivet (MI-08)Policy Portfolio: Healthcare, Housing, Seniors, Small Business, Civil Rights, Campaign Reform, Grants, Religious Affairs, Consumer Safety, Animals, Religious Affairs, Postal Operations, Economic Development and Science/Space. Handle an expanded legislative portfolio on behalf of the Congresswoman. Help lead the Congresswoman’s FY27 appropriations process by coordinating stakeholder funding requests, drafting and submitting programmatic and subcommittee letters, liaising with the Appropriations Committee, and communicating funding opportunities and outcomes to constituents and local partners. Conduct meetings with constituents, advocacy groups, and stakeholders to discuss legislation and priorities in Michigan’s Eighth District, communicate the Congresswoman’s positions, and report feedback and findings to the Congresswoman. Supervise an efficient constituent mail program using Indigov.
