About Emma Baumgartner
As an inquisitive, reliable, and disciplined graduate from Miami University, I have gained a great extent of knowledge and experience relevant to the Accounting and Finance industries. This includes - but is not limited to - Microsoft office applications, Power BI, Tableau, interdepartmental collaboration, creating and analyzing financial statements, building forecasts, business communication, and programming.During my time at Miami, I was a member of Beta Alpha Psi, Beta Gamma Sigma Honors Society, and Women in Business. At these meetings, I networked with company employees and learned about the impact of their businesses. Aside from clubs, I have also dove into the business world through class projects. In the fall of 2018, I helped Fifth Third Bank create a way that LGBTQ+ individuals could feel supported in the banking industry. The following semester, I collaborated with my honors marketing class to develop a back-to-school campaign for Abercrombie & Fitch. During the summer of 2021, I interned at Owens Corning in the Roofing & Asphalt Components Finance Department where I regularly reported my project progress to a manager, built revenue forecasts in Excel, and designed visuals in a Power BI report to be utilized by the Sales Department.
