WORK HISTORY
Co-founder @Time To Act Cardiff
Cardiff, GB
In June 2023, I shared my Survivor story and since then have been working hard in advocating for fellow Survivors of sexual violence. I have been involved in Survivor advocacy for many years now but this particular campaign has a particular focus on Survivors in higher education institutions and the failings of these institutions. Since my survival story went viral. I have worked with national and international organisations in policy and campaign development. Continuing to liaise with groups and activists in and outside Wales who ensure the work needed continues and put pressure on these institutions to change. I have, and continue to work with, ITV Wales, Cosmopolitan, BBC Wales in discussing this issue and involved in investigative journalist pieces to uncover the extent of both the idea and reality of rape culture at University. I am so grateful for the connections made through this campaign. Far and wide and what we will achieve together in the future. I look forward to working with Love Your Period for the Cardiff Reclaim the Night Event. It has been an arduous process. I won’t shy away from the truth that is has and continues to be a challenge. But I and so many other advocates know how worth it is. I cannot wait to see what we achieve. What we all achieve for our shared community.
