   Collaborate with families to promote children’s health and well-being.• Assist families in arranging medical, dental, or nutritional examinations/immunizations.• Ensure all enrolled children are up-to-date on age-appropriate preventive/primary health care, and arrange re-screening, further diagnostic testing, examination, and treatment for each child with medical, dental, or nutritional problems.• Conduct vision and hearing screenings for all Early Head Start children.• Request, track, review, and evaluate health records to assess needs and ensure high-quality comprehensive health services/education.• Maintain records for Early Head Start Health (EPSDT requirements), North Carolina Child Care Licensing rules, and the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) in hard copy and on Child Plus database, and ensure effective system of tracking, follow-up, and confidentiality.• Plan/deliver/coordinate training for staff and parents on health, dental, nutrition, and environmental safety topics.• Conduct biweekly/as needed new hire health orientation.• Prepare reports on health, safety, and nutrition.• Organize/facilitate activities of the agency\'s Health Services Advisory Committee (HSAC); ensure the Committee membership is composed of required professions and parent representation.• Provide health letters and postings when communicable diseases are reported in classrooms.• Coordinate and/or lead CPR and health/safety trainings for staff.• Maintain Breastfeeding Friendly Childcare Designation.• Represent Verner on various Buncombe County Health Coalitions.• Coordinate/maintain medical action plans for children.• Participate in annual program self-evaluation, grantee monitoring, and Community Assessment.
