About Emily Stainer

Emily join the Blackstone Valley Prep Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment team in 2022. Previously she served Match Charter Public Schools as the Chief Academic Officer coaching instructional leaders and overseeing the academic program preK-12. Before that she led the Academic Team at UP Education Network designing academic programming for turnaround schools. Prior to that she served as the Head of School for Alma del Mar Charter School in New Bedford, MA supporting the school in growing from K-3 to K-7. She started her education career at Citizen Schools in 2002 through the National Teaching Fellowship program and then served in a variety of roles. As the Citizen Schools Director of Curriculum and Director of Program Leadership she developed organization strategy, systems, and products to advance teaching and learning in extended learning day programs. In addition to her twelve years of work at Citizen Schools, she has also served youth at City Year Columbia and the Swearer Center for Public Service at Brown University. Emily graduated from Brown University and later earned a Master\'s of Education from Lesley University.Specialties: program operations, staff management, school relationships
