Experience
Pmo Project Manager - Utility Operations
Jan 2025 — Present · Omaha, NE, US
Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) is the twelfth largest public power utility in the country, serving nearly people across thirteen counties in Nebraska, which is the only state with all public power providers. As the demand for electricity grows nationwide, OPPD’s rates have remained competitive and have stayed 30% lower than the national average. This increase in demand, along with an increasing need for a more flexible and reliable electrical grid, has led OPPD to make significant investments in their utility operations and generation projects in recent years. • Demonstrate leadership presence on in-person meetings, calls, and walkdowns with contractors, vendors, and project team members and track action items for each responsible party • Restructured the contractual list of outstanding items still due from EPC contractors to ensure all obligations were met and liaised between the EPC contractors and sub-contractors to recover schedule slippage after joining the Turtle Creek Station and Standing Bear Lake Station power plant projects in their final year• Partnered with third-party consultants to resolve numerous issues from missing documentation to incorrectly marked-up drawings which led to hundreds of items being uploaded correctly into the document register on Aconex on these projects• Advised and directed the department’s data analysts on the transition from Smartsheet to Power BI for the PMO’s project dashboards
