About Emily Ligon

My passion is helping identify, research and create solutions that support education. I find great satisfaction in building holistic solutions that integrate different stakeholder needs, the strategic goals of the larger institution, and positively impact administrators, teachers, and students. I am a human-centered manager and mission-driven leader with extensive experience in software development, education, and publishing where I provide learning solutions, curriculum development, content integration, product development research, and training and support. And, I am a demonstrated achiever with exceptional knowledge of instructional technology, adult education, and innovative learning solutions. I am able to do this through strong communication skills, including translating technical material for a public audience, creating buy-in at different levels, and specialized audience adaptation. I thrive in roles where I am able to influence without authority because I appreciate the challenge in finding methods of change management through understanding my audience and aligning our shared goals to achieve action. This is complemented through my super power: bringing order to chaos. I achieve this through active listening and needs assessment. By understanding what is needed, I can create operations that work for the people implementing those changes.
