ABOUT EMILY KAUFMANN
I am a storyteller, through and through. For six years, my storytelling played out on local television news, covering topics and events that impacted the lives of those living in mid-Michigan and the greater Indianapolis area. Even when a news cycle was depressing and discouraging, I broke through the darkness and found/produced meaningful content to spark joy and laughter. I used my storytelling skills in the nonprofit sphere at Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation. My position focused on day-to-day communications about events/programming through emails and social media. This role also allowed me to create content that gets to the heart of IHC and what it means to be a part of this Reform Jewish community. I am excited to now embark on the newest chapter of my career as the Assistant Director of Communications for the Indianapolis Mayor\'s Office.
