About Emily Kagan

I’m an early-career professional with a strong interest in strategy, communication, and how organizations grow and operate in fast-changing environments. At AlphaSights, I support financial institutions by connecting them with expert perspectives that help drive critical investment and strategic decisions. The pace is quick, the stakes are high, and I love the opportunity to develop client management, research, and problem-solving skills in real-time. Before AlphaSights, I held prior work and internship experience across business development, sales, and project management - giving me exposure to a wide range of teams, industries, and challenges. As a graduate of the Organizational Studies program at the University of Michigan, I focused on global organizations and business dynamics and spent a semester in Aix-en-Provence, France diving deeper into global economics and French-language coursework. My favorite privilege of being a young professional is the chance to consistently work on building the skills, perspective, and experience that will shape my long-term path. I\'m especially drawn to strategic roles where I can learn quickly, contribute meaningfully, and grow within a hardworking team. Outside of work, I enjoy keeping up with current events, spending quality time with friends/family, and working on my French. I’m always open to connecting with others - especially fellow Michigan alums!
