Hmm, what is this string connected to? That question sums up my way of thinking and working in cities, economies, and organizations. I am constantly looking for threads that connect actions, policies, and implementation. And where those threads are knotted together or where they unravel. As a community and economic development professional with I have worked with organizations in small towns, multi-county regions, states and universities. I have had the opportunity to do amazing things - hold workshops for hundreds of citizens, create award-winning plans, win grants that create more people-friendly places, and write materials used by thousands of people. Most recently, my work has turned to the intersection between diversity, equity, and inclusion + climate change + economic development. Turns out there is not just a thread here, but a whole embroidery store. I look forward to engaging more in this space and welcome conversations and connections.
