WORK HISTORY
Prestige Credit Controller Prestige Logistics Executive (Casks of Distinction) @Diageo

Responsible for a large number high net worth “Prestige” accounts covering both Private and Trade clients, with a specific focus on high value whisky and cask sales. Duties included financial reporting and working alongside the customer services and sales to support a fast order to cash process. Moving into the logistics role (secondment, Dec 2022 to April 2024) I then became the point of contact throughout the bottling process following the sale of casks of whisky to HNW customers. ABOUT EMILY SLAVEN
With over thirteen years of experience across the whisky and wider drinks industry, I’ve built a career at the intersection of creativity, strategy, and operations — where brand storytelling meets practical execution. My professional journey has taken me from managing whisky cask logistics for high-net-worth clients at Diageo’s Justerini & Brooks, to leading events and activations for internationally recognised brands and publications, and representing some of the most exciting names in whisky as a freelance Brand Ambassador. Each role has strengthened my belief that great brand experiences start with authentic stories, meaningful connections, and seamless delivery.I’ve worked across marketing, events, logistics, and client relations — often bridging the gap between creative teams and operational realities. Whether coordinating global events, managing complex production and bottling processes, or crafting engaging content and communications, I take pride in combining strategic thinking with a hands-on approach. My journalism qualification supports my storytelling skills, while my WSET Level 2 Spirits (Distinction) reflects a deep technical understanding and passion for the craft behind every bottle.Collaboration, organisation, and adaptability are at the heart of how I work. I thrive in fast-paced, multifaceted environments and enjoy contributing to teams where creativity and commercial insight go hand in hand. I’m especially drawn to brands that value innovation, sustainability, and integrity — those willing to challenge tradition while respecting heritage.Today, I’m excited to continue growing within the drinks and FMCG industries — contributing to brand development, marketing strategy, and client experience projects that celebrate authenticity and drive meaningful impact. If you share a passion for creating memorable brand moments or are looking to collaborate on marketing, events, or brand storytelling within the drinks space, I’d love to connect.
