ARTIST • JEWISH LEADER • INNOVATOR Cantor Emily H. Short was ordained at Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion on May 7, 2023. She received her Masters of Sacred Music from the Debbie Friedman School of Sacred Music in New York in May 2022, along with her Masters of Jewish Non-Profit Management from the Zelikow School in Los Angeles. She graduated from Muhlenberg College in 2017, with Magna Cum Laude honors and her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, double minoring in Music and Jewish Studies. Cantor Short has extensive work experience in Jewish cultural programming, development/fundraising, customer service, and administrative duties. She loves working with adults and children, especially in a positive and welcoming environment. In her free time, Cantor Short enjoys reading, yoga, being outdoors, playing with her pets, and spending time with friends and family! She lives in Albany, NY with her wife, Francesca, her dog, Kiwi, and two cats, Finn and Hugo!
